There are two phases in the research process:
Market Intelligence Research
The initial step in the research process includes all or some of the following depending on client needs: market intelligence, target list development, compensation studies, and industry trends. The first phase of the process begins with a comprehensive review of the marketplace using both existing and potential research materials.
Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of each client’s business, such as organizational structure, client culture and industry dynamic is a critical step in Search Support Group’s research process. With this information, we can identify the very best individuals to help drive our client’s business.
We use organizational intelligence to understand the structure of companies within an industry and to obtain a clear understanding of the position being researched.
Target List Development
Search Support Group will develop a target list of companies whose competitive position and/or company accomplishments suggest they should house the candidates being sought.
We review the marketplace to identify key organizations; gathering data based on job functions or the industry, depending on the client’s needs.
Candidate Identification
Search Support Group develops original research in-house, specifically customized for each client’s assignment. Depending on the nature of the assignment our databases and personal networks are quickly scanned to see if we know any "superstars" or key candidates that match the assignment discipline.
Based on information received through the development of target lists, industry knowledge, and client shared information, Search Support Group generates customized, project specific research, utilizing extensive telephone networking, databases, directories, online memberships, professional organizations, and other resources. Our approach to research ensures that clients receive the most detailed, timely and accurate data.
Research is published and reviewed with the client at pre-determined intervals, to ensure the accuracy of the targeting and allow for any client refinements before the completion of the project. This also allows clients to have an interim overview of prospective candidates who could be sourced. Members of the research staff are involved from the initial phases of an engagement to the very end, in order to understand a client’s needs and vision. All information provided is confidential. . |
